Weather Permitting

Weather is an adversary I considered while planning this trip and the possibility of it ruining plans. It still has the power to ruin plans and even destroy. Fortunately I have wonderful hosts and it did not negatively impact the day. However, I did have to take a rain check with a friend that I can hopefully redeem tomorrow before heading out.

I have heard conflicting things regarding Whataburger from a few different people, but as one person said: When in Rome. So for lunch we went to Whataburger and I may still prefer a particular West Coast chain. One thing I was able to get with the meal is a Dr Pepper Shake.

The afternoon was spent lazily on the couch discussing a myriad of topics, same as the night before. We exchanged stories and experiences until an afternoon walk through the neighborhood/area. I was only disappointed on the walk because I did not see a living thing (animal, child, etc.) utilizing the porthole.

Since I know absolutely nothing about (Texas) weather it did seem acceptable for the walk with some blue sky.

I will need to be mindful of other weather storms/patterns as I venture into what is the unknown for me.
