Time's up

Let's do this! I should have more than a 32.33 chance of survival if I stick to the plan. I started off by heading to the Pacific Ocean where SR 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) meets Route 39 (Beach Boulevard) to document the start of the trip. As you can see I have over-packed over-promised and I will certainly under-deliver.

After documenting "the start" I proceeded onward towards the scenic Interstate 10. Fortunately for me and other motorcyclists in California we have AB-51 (if only other states would get onboard) otherwise I might still be melting on the SR 91 East in Corona. I eventually made it to the 10...and I rode for hundreds of miles and hours in lovely 90-100+ degree Fahrenheit warmth. I did not even find Mankrik's wife through my journey in The Barrens! I thought having the thermometer on the dash would be useful but it is only binary to me, freezing or melting. hot

I arrived at my first stop ~7 hours later near Phoenix, AZ. My gracious host had pizza and Dr Pepper prepared. It was delicious and amazing.

I need to remind myself this trip is not a sprint like it was on my Kawasaki Ninja 300 from Los Angeles to Seattle in ~26 hours (slightly delayed by an incident) during the summer of July 2019; it is a marathon. This trip if seen through to completion (weather permitting) will be a few more miles give or take a few thousand. Most of my time spent will be on the road with not much for sightseeing aside from gas stations and the occasional stops for sustenance. However, I am glad for modern amenities such as GPS, The Internet, and roads. I would like to avoid the immersive experience of traveling long distances.
