This will be a short post as there is not much to report. I woke up and went on my way leaving around 0800 PT. Today I am going to Goleta to have lunch with a friend before home. Estimated time of arrival between 1430-1500 PT for a late lunch.
I cannot recall seeing a gasoline pump with both cash and credit prices displayed concurrently. Aside from my fascination with the dual price display there is nothing exciting to report. I made it to Goleta around 1415 PT and we went to Cal Taco for lunch. We spent some time catching up before I was back on the road to (ride|sit) between traffic. The usual bottleneck on the 101 through Santa Barbara and onto Ventura Highway. Normally I would continue onto 405 but Garmin had other plans. I detoured around Oxnard and continued to California State Route 1 (PCH), would recommend. It was fine until Santa Monica because cars so back to filtering until traffic was flowing again. Some time later I filled up my motorcycle one more time at a local petrol station...and my card was declined, again.
I finally made it home at 1942 PT with:
I plan to visit again and hopefully I have additional opportunities to visit more people next time. Overall it was a great trip even with rain and never enough time. I may edit this post at a later time and include a map of the route, but it is just up then back down. My motorcycle is in desperate need of a wash and I will take care of it before visiting San Diego on Saturday. A West Coast tour.
If you or someone you know is interested in (sometimes long, boring, mindless, but also sometimes exciting) travel then let me know.
tl;dr LF1M PST. The wilderness must be explored!
