On Wednesdays
We wear pink. It only took (3) three years(?) before I could finally see Mean Girls the Musical. Naturally I watched the motion picture again before watching the musical adaption. Musicals are not really my thing except for Grease, Scrubs, Community, and maybe one more thing? We are going to regionals!
I can appreciate the work that goes into a production. It is not something I really considered before but it is a lot of work! Costume changes, moving people, moving set pieces, singing, the prep work that goes into all of it before a show, and whatever else I missed. I will say if I was not familiar with the movie then I would have been more confused throughout the show. My brain is apparently too slow to focus on what is happening on stage and process lyrics at the same time. The musical mostly followed the movie; however, some changes were made to bring it into slightly more modern times. I think it was done well, but I do not know musicals.
